This week, owners of the Rocky Card, Debra Dullaghan and Anne Smith, were proud to be able to support another Estes Park nonprofit organization, Quota Club’s Ambulance Drive, with a $2,000 donation.
Quota Club of Estes Park is in the middle of its drive to raise $200,000 to purchase a new, fully equipped ambulance for Estes Park Medical Center. Unlike in many places, Estes Park ambulances are not supported by tax dollars. The oldest in the ambulance fleet has more than 180,000 miles of mountain driving on it and is in desperate need of retirement. So far, Quota has raised $65,000 and hopes to have the full amount by the end of the fundraiser in April.
If you would like to join the Rocky Card in helping to fund the purchase of a new ambulance, please make a donation in the name of “Quota Club Ambulance Fund” and mail it to PO Box 1273, Estes Park, CO 80517. One hundred percent of the donations that Quota receives in this drive will go towards the purchase of the ambulance, and your donation is tax deductible.
The Rocky Card has been giving to nonprofit organizations since 2008, with the goal of each donation being to make a difference within the community that supports their efforts.
The premise behind the Rocky Card is that local businesses who are Rocky Card members attract customers by offering discounts or other incentives to cardholders. Visitors and Estes Park locals purchase a Rocky Card for $10 to access the discounts, and Dullaghan and Smith donate the profits from the sale of the cards to local charities.
Merchants who participate in the Rocky Card program agree that the Rocky Card has improved sales, gained customer awareness, and provided local charities with much-needed funds. With the Rocky Card, everybody wins!
Rocky Cards may be purchased from many merchants around Estes Park, including The Village Store at National Park Village, Estes Park Mountain Shop, Estes Park True Value & Radio Shack, Rocky Mountain Gateway, the Estes Park Visitors Center, and Safeway.
