The Rocky Card Gives

The Rocky Card is proud to be able to support local nonprofit organizations. 100% of the profits from the $10 Rocky Card purchase price will be divided among worthy causes. These are the organizations we have supported in the past:

Estes Valley Investment in Childhood Success (EVICS) – EVICS is a nonprofit, community service organization dedicated to promoting and supporting early childhood care and education in the Estes Park area. They provide financial assistance through the EVICS Scholarship Program to Estes Park families; free resource and referral services for parent of young children seeking child care; resources, information, and training for child care provicers, preschool directors, and early childhood teachers; and public education and presentations to local community service organizations and clubs. American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Estes Park – The American Cancer Society Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone in communities across the globe a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. At Relay, teams of people camp out at a local high school, park, or fairground and take turns walking or running around a track or path. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps, Relays are overnight events up to 24 hours in length. Hospice of the Estes Valley – Hospice in Estes Park focuses on quality of life for a person facing a life-limiting illness and the person’s family. It is a department of the Estes Park Medical Center, designed to provide the highest quality and most cost-effective care and services for those needing hospice in the Estes Valley.

Crossroads Ministry – Crossroads Ministry is an Estes Park non-profit organization that provides support for individuals and families in the form of food and money for housing, medical bills, transportation, and other needs.

Quota Club International of Estes Park – Quota International, founded in 1919, is an international service organization that links members of all ages, occupations, and nationalities in a worldwide network of service and friendship. With a motto of “we share,” Quotarians are known especially for their service to deaf, hard-of-hearing, and speech-impaired individuals and disadvantaged women and children. Quota members share the values of serving and encouraging others, developing friendships, and promoting international understanding. For more information, visit www.quota.org.

Estes Valley Victim Advocates – Estes Valley Victim Advocates, Inc. provides crisis intervention 24 hours daily to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, other crimes and trauma. They provide referrals for the appropriate community resources and offer a safehouse for victims of domestic violence. Visit their website for more information: www.estesvalleyvictimadvocates.org.

Harvest House for Women – Harvest House is a long-term transitional housing program for women and their children. They help women in all types of situations, including drug and alcohol abuse, divorce, mental and sexual abuse, homelessness, and women who have come from prisons and jails. As part of the program that lasts from eight months to two years, Harvest House provides counseling, drug and alcohol abuse classes, parenting classes, GED preparation, and many types of teaching, including Bible studies, that may be useful for women when they complete the program. Partners Mentoring Youth – Partners Mentoring Youth creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships between positive adult role models and youth facing challenges in their personal, social, and academic lives. Partners Mentoring Youth has served the Estes Park community since 1996. Partners’ data shows that 42% of the youth in our program improved their school performance and 65% exhibited a decrease in delinquent behavior after one year of mentoring. Healing Waters Foundation – People who have had strokes, traumatic brain injuries, fractures, or total joint replacements and those who live with the challenges of diseases such as Parkinson’s or arthritis find great relief from the warm therapeutic waters of the Healing Waters Foundation pool. The pool features an in-floor treadmill, a video system for visual feedback, and a chair lift all in a comfortable, private atmosphere to make rehabilitation as effective as possible.
